who are eager, energetic and highly motivated for a Software Engineer
position with our Engineering Group, located in Mumbai. The applicant
will be expected to work in a team oriented environment tackling
tasks at various stages in the development process ranging from
requirements gathering to implementation and testing. Emphasis is
placed on the candidate's contribution to the group and their
advancement in understanding and helping extend and maintain
Affinity's technical infrastructure.
Required Skills:
2+
years web application programming experience using PHP/Perl
(professional or academic)
Knowledge
of Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP (LAMP)
Strong
programming, analysis and design skills
Expertise
in multiple programming languages preferred
Working
knowledge of Sessions, Cookies, XML Structures, etc
Preferred
knowledge of Javascript, AJAX, DHTML, DOM Scripting, CSS
Working
knowledge of both Unix and Windows in a software development
setting. Prefer strength in Unix (all flavors) environment
Enthusiasm
for solving challenging problems
Basic
networking knowledge
Strong
HTTP Fundamentals
Familiarity
with relational database concepts and RDBMS systems such as MySQL,
Oracle, DB2 and MS SQL Server
Must
be a good team player with excellent written and verbal
communication skills
